Prof. Zhenyuan Wang graduated from the Department of Mathematics, Fudan University in Shanghai,People's Republic of China. Since 1962, he has been with the Department of Mathematics, Hebei University (P. R. China), where he was a professor , and served as the Chairman of the department from 1985 to 1990. In 1979-81, he was a visiting scholar at the Laboratory for Artificail Intelligence and the Laboratory for Probability Calculus, University of Paris VI, Fance. From 1989 to 1996, he was a visiting scholar and then a visiting professor and research scientist in the Department of Systems Science and Industrial Engineering, Binghamton University-SUNY, USA. From 1997 to 1998, he was a research fellow in the Departent of Computer Science & Engineering, The Chinese University of Hong Kong. He worked as a visiting professor in New Mexico State University and The University of Texas at El Paso from 1998 to 2001. Currently he is a professor in The Department of Mathematics, University of Nebraska at Omaha. He received his Ph. D. in Systems Science in 1991 at Binghamton University.



Profssor Wang's main research interests are measure theory, particularly the theory and applications of nonadditive set functions and nonlinear integrals, probability and statistics, optimization, and soft computing methods, including neural network and genetic algorithms. In the last 20 years, Professor Wang received several awards for excellent and out-standing accomplishments in teaching and research. He is the author or co-author of one book and more than 100 papers.
