In the area, in our education and research, we treat with group theory, representation theory, commutative ring theory, number theory and so on, which are major subject in algebra. In group theory, we study structure of groups via characters, algebraic combinatoric stuff, such as codes, lattices which are related with simple groups. We study also representation theory of finite groups, namely, ordinary and modular representation thories, and also representation theory of finite dimensional algebras. Moreover, we study commutative ring theory, homological algebra, algebraic geometry, number theory, algebraic varieties, algebraic cycles and zeta functions with respect to Etal cohomology, p-adic cohomology and p-adic analysis.
